Maggie Griffin-Book, JD
ESTATE PLANNING DIRECTOR
Maggie Griffin-Book is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law, a distinction representing the highest level of specialization in her field. At the time of her certification, she was one of the youngest individuals in the state to attain this designation. A native Houstonian and nationally ranked equestrian with the American Paint Horse Association, Mrs. Book brings the same disciplined, competitive spirit to her legal practice that she carries into the arena.
She began her collegiate career at Baylor University as a varsity athlete on the Women’s Equestrian Team before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin. As an eighth generation Longhorn, Mrs. Book was proud to graduate from the University of Texas with a B.A. in English Literature and a B.S. in Communications
After earning her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, Mrs. Book accepted a Junior Associate position with Haiman and Hogue, PLLC in Frisco, Texas, working in the areas of Estate Planning and Probate. In August of 2017, Mrs. Book returned home to The Woodlands to begin working for Knighton and Stone, PLLC as a Junior Associate in Advanced Estate Planning.
Prior to joining Rhame & Gorrell, Mrs. Book served as the Head of Estate Planning at Stibbs & Co., P.C. where she established a thriving Estate Planning practice and furthered her expertise in complex estate matters and business-related asset protection issues. Her time with Stibbs & Co., P.C. solidified her reputation for providing sophisticated counsel to clients throughout The Woodlands and North Houston.
Mrs. Book joined Rhame & Gorrell in 2026 to continue her work in Advanced Estate Planning, Probate, Estate/Trust Administration, and Asset. She remains deeply involved in the community, currently serving as a National Director for the American Paint Horse Association and as a Past Chairman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Paint Horse Committee.
